I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
